Although it is now known as\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eAsturias (Leyenda)\u003c\/em\u003e, the title\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eAsturias\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ewas added later by a publisher after Albéniz’s death and was later republished posthumously as\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eAsturias (Leyenda)\u003c\/em\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003ein\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cem\u003eSuite Española, Op. 47\u003c\/em\u003e. Despite its name, the music is inspired by the flamenco traditions of Andalusia in southern Spain rather than the northern region of Asturias.
