Gaspar Sanz Collection Volume 1 - PDF Sheet Music for Classical Guitar. Comes with both a notation edition with left hand fingering and a separate tab edition. This is a PDF Download. Level: Intermediate Grades 3-7.
For the first volume I've included the original Gaspar Sanz works that inspired Rodrigo's famous concerto: Villanos, Fuga, Españoletas, La Cavalleria de Nápoles con dos Clarines, Las Hachas, and Canarios.
These popular works by Gaspar Sanz (1640-1710) originate from his Instrucción de música sobre la Guitarra Española for Baroque guitar. In 1954 Joaquín Rodrigo composed his guitar concerto Fantasía para un gentilhombre on themes from these works. A degree of arranging for modern guitar has taken place, including adding the sixth string of the modern guitar to complete logical musical lines.

If anything, I admire whomever had the patience to devote themselves to such fine notation. Great sounding and always guitaristic, in my opinion.
I read through the first few pieces and am focusing on Villanos. An appropriate beginning! Working relaxed and slow. Your scores are easy to read. So far all fingerings fit my hand. I play a Siccas Triptych 640./51 with Augustine Regal strings. Wished I had a 630/51. 10 mm over 12 frets is not so bad though. I need instruction on Renaissance trills. I. appreciate the work that goes into your scores. Thanks for the clarity.
I found it very helpful to have a performance to listen to while practicing.
Great to hear!
I’m very happy to have this selection of pieces..
