Obregon was a Spanish amateur guitarist who briefly studied with Tarrega. This piece has a certain flamboyant period charm. It can be satisfying as an intermediate Spanish work with plenty of Romantic rubato and not a strong compositional element other than a pleasing sound and feel on the guitar. Besides some thick chord shapes it is pretty easy once you get to know it.

I am not ready to start on this song yet. However, I wanted to test out obtaining some sheet music and watching the accompanying lesson video; which was great by the way. By chance, when I was considering purchasing a Cordoba C12 Classical Guitar I came across Werner's review of such a model. His review and my checking it out in the store put me over to go ahead and purchase it. In doing so I have also found a wonderful website and guitar that I will be using quite a lot in the near future. More later on my goals and how I came about wanting to purchase a new classical guitar.
