Canon in D for Guitar by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) - Free PDF Sheet Music for Classical Guitar. Comes with both a notation edition with left hand fingering and a separate tab edition. Drop-D tuning (6th string tuned down to D, see video). Level: Intermediate (Grade 5). This is a PDF Download.
Here's a free sheet music PDF of Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) arranged for guitar. This has been arranged for use in weddings, gigs, or special events. The opening has arpeggios mixed in with the bass to keep the movement going since the original can sound bland on the guitar. I've tried to keep it simple and short enough to sight-read at gigs yet provide some of the classic and recognizable sections of the work. You can also find the tab as a hardcopy in my Classical Guitar Tab book on Amazon. Here's the YouTube Video Lesson Link if you'd like to watch it there.

It’s a lovely piece of music and I’m getting on quite well with it. It took a while to get used to the low E string being tuned to D. Thank you Werner for the free sheet music.
I've been using Bradford's arrangements and method+technique books since 2022, and like all his other work, this arrangement is absolutely fantastic. I appreciate the detailed fingering very much, and the accompanying video that goes with most of his arrangements are always very informative and educational.
This particular arrangement (which I have just started working on, so I'm in the early stages still) is really beautiful and fun to play. Highly recommended for intermediate-level players.
Bradford's brilliant website with its amazing video lectures and advice are also a must for any guitar student.
Thanks so much!
I’ve been playing classical guitar 31 years for personal enjoyment and honestly I’m only a solid grade 3-4 in the keys of C, D, F and G. This piece is challenging, but so good. I am NOT a tab reader unless I cannot figure out the fingering, but glad it comes with the piece and of course there is the video as well. Thank you! 😊
Thanks so much for the feedback!
感谢老师的辛苦劳动,非常动听的音乐,感谢

Very inspiring piece even though a little bit over my level.
Thanks for the feedback. The great thing about this piece is that you can play just the first couple of sections and repeat each one for length and it won't be as difficult. It's essentially a set of variations so you can skip the difficult ones and it still sounds good.
