The Round Battle Galliard (Poulton No. 39) by John Dowland (1563-1626) – Sheet music and TAB for classical guitar. Includes a Notation-Only Edition and a Notation + Modern TAB Edition. Left hand fingering. The level is late-Intermediate (Grade 7), generally easy but some tricky chords shapes and passages.
Please note: You have to tune the 3rd string down to F# (Dowland's lute tuning) for this edition (see the video below). An unfingered edition is also available upon request.
John Dowland was an English Renaissance composer, lutenist, and singer. He is best known today for his melancholy songs and lute compositions. He's one of my favourite composers of the Elizabethan era and all time! Video Lesson and Performance
